The Symmetry Project is my graphical interpretation of how our every-day lives are mirrored around the globe.

A lifetime of exploring our world has helped me realize that all people have the same core responsibilities and needs. They only look different the further I get from home.

The act of communicating with someone is one of the most basic and core needs of humanity. For centuries, it was as simple as looking around and choosing which friend or family member to speak to. In today’s on-the-go society, we rely on telephones to keep in touch.

Cell phone users have it easy, but what about that large segment of the world that doesn’t use a mobile? Pay phones are disappearing faster than our forests, but in most places you can still find one. It just might not look like the one in your hometown.

25 Cents: Local Calls features 11 different pay phones from around the world to show that regardless of where you are and what it looks like, we’ve all got to fulfill the universal need of communication.
