The New York Yankees: you either love ’em or hate ’em.
Maybe it’s their 27 World Series championship rings that inspire jealousy.
Or the fact that the Yankees’ payroll is always the highest in baseball.
It’s a safe bet that they have, at some point in the last 100 years, beaten your favorite baseball team in the postseason.
A Universal Bond
As a West coast transplant, I can’t count how many conversations haves started with, “I’m from New York, but don’t worry, I’m a Mets fan.” It’s like a universal bond amongst non-Yankee fans.
Yankee Stadium is a Nice Place to See a Game
All rivalries aside, I truly do enjoy going to Yankee games.
One of my best childhood friends, Meeks, has had right field bleacher seats since Yankee Stadium was located across the street. Over the years, he has taken me some classics over the years. In fact, every photograph on this page was taken at a game I went to with him. You da man buddy!
The Best View in the House that Ruth Built
The above photograph was taken from Meeks’ seats in the right field bleachers of New Yankee Stadium (or “Fakie Stadium,” as he once called it). The Yankees were playing the Boston Red Sox, in one of the most fierce and storied rivalries in professional sports.
