Grooming Tips For Life on the Move

Living life on the move can be incredibly rewarding. You get to fill your life with diverse experiences, meeting a range of different people and cultures. This kind of lifestyle does, however, require a fair bit of work, and a clever approach to travel and self-care.

One thing that a lot of people struggle with is keeping themselves looking good, with minimal equipment and time. To help you out, we’ve provided a brief overview of grooming tips for life on the move, from simplifying what’s in your wash bag to the importance of self-care more generally.

Having a long beard is completely acceptable

Simplify your kit

One of the first things you should do to improve your approach to grooming on the move is to simplify what’s in your wash bag. While it’s totally fine to have a large array of grooming gear if you live in a house and have a large bathroom, things are a little different when you have to carry your shaving gear around with you everywhere you go. Take a look at compact shaving kits and really consider what parts of your regular routine you might be able to do without.

Choose a simple style

In addition to simplifying and reducing the amount of supplies you carry around, it’s a good idea to choose a simple style, something that doesn’t require a lot of upkeep. You likely won’t have reliable access to the best facilities, and life on the move can also be pretty jam-packed with activities. You want to choose a look that doesn’t go downhill if not maintained for a few days, something a little rugged and rough around the edges perhaps.

Be flexible

On that same note, it’s important to be flexible with your grooming when living a busy life. You need to accept that you might not look amazing every single day, and that’s ok. You can only do your best, and that will always be good enough. If you can embrace what you might initially consider an imperfection, you can integrate it into your style on a broader level and make it something you’re still super proud of.

Look after yourself

Life on the move can be stressful and draining at times. As a result, in addition to shaving and moisturizing, if you want to look good, you also need to look after yourself. That means getting enough rest, eating good food, and trying to keep stress at an acceptable level.

You won’t be able to embrace every single opportunity that comes your way, and that’s ok. Make sure you put a little time aside to look after and check in on yourself on a regular basis, and you’ll be able to stay looking – and feeling – your best.

Grooming on the move can become a bit of a chore, but it doesn’t have to. By adapting your approach and taking things a bit more low-key, you can come up with a routine that easily fits into your new, busy lifestyle, without it being overwhelming at all.
