First Octopus; Then Rice

I snapped the above photograph on Aphae Island while filming my National Geographic Channel TV show: Lost in Korea.

After a long day of catching an octopus with my bare hands and eating it raw, I had some free time to explore town.

Along with my costar, Jesse, and the production assistant, Jiyeon, we wandered along the main road while waiting for the rest of the crew to finish filming background scenes.

Finding Jesus in South Korea

I currently live in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which is a Buddhist country.

So, when I come across a Christian church in another Asian nation, it really stands out.

What struck me most about this church on Aphae Island, Korea, was how abandoned it looked. Yet, when we walked into the lobby, it was full of offices, life and faith.
