There are so many beautiful destinations around the world that could attract even the most amateur photographers to go on a lifetime of photo adventures.  From the picturesque lakes of Canada to the colorful streets of Cuba and the clearest waters of the Maldives, the world is filled with endless possibilities when it comes to choosing your next destination for a photo holiday. If you can’t decide where to go next, check out these stunning places that could inspire you to embark on a photography adventure.

 

1. Canada

If you have a fondness for nature and wildlife, the Canadian Rockies is a must. It’s home to stunning waterfalls, picturesque lakes, and towering mountains, making it a dream destination for any landscape photographer.  Of course, there’s more to Canada than the Rockies. Other photogenic locations in Canada are the Kluane National Park Glacier & Reserve in Yukon, the Canadian Badlands in Alberta, and the Northern Lights in Nunavut.

2. The Galapagos

A visit to the Galápagos Islands is a dream of every wildlife photographer out there. It offers plenty of opportunities for a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with rare animals, especially if you take part in a rainforest cruises. The incredible diversity of animal species that inhabit the islands is not like anywhere else in the world. During your cruise, your head will always be on a swivel as you capture all the actions happening in the rainforest. Be ready to take photos of the fast-flying Frigatebirds as they perform breathtaking aerial stunts and be on a lookout for the colorful marine iguanas lazing by the frigid Galápagos waters.

 

3. Cuba

Whenever you hear about Cuba, images of colorful buildings and vintage cars will most likely come to mind. It is because of these images why photographers from around the world are dying to visit this Caribbean nation. Aside from the colorful streets of Havana, your photo holiday in Cuba can also include a visit to the beautiful beaches and famous off-the-beaten-track places. The Afro-Cuban dancers, with their colorful costumes and lively actions, as well as the warm smiles of friendly locals, are some of the best moments that are worth capturing in Cuba.

 

4. Vietnam

Thanks to travel photos on Instagram, almost every photographer now wants to go to Vietnam. Indeed, Vietnam is a great destination for every photography enthusiast out there. From the colorful lanterns of Hoi An to the breathtaking rice terraces in Sapa and the towering limestone pillars of Halong Bay, Vietnam offers plenty of opportunities for photographers to hone their skills. When visiting Vietnam for a photo holiday, consider booking a photography tour that’s led by expert photographers who are familiar with the Vietnam landscapes.

5. The Maldives

The Maldives is among the most photographed holiday destinations in the world, and that is for a good reason. With its crystal clear waters, diverse marine life, powdery white sands, and luxurious resorts, almost everything in the Maldives is picture-perfect. For a more relaxing way to enjoy your photo holiday, book a stay in picturesque Maldives overwater villa. You do not even need to invest in expensive cameras to take good pictures of its gorgeous islands, so it’s worth splashing out to get there.
