Gratitude Journal: Day 27
November 29, 2020

1️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for my new practice of writing “thank you” on all checks I write and bills I pay (and even those I’m waiting to pay) because it completely shifts the energy towards the positive … and I like to think the people opening the envelope get a smile too.

2️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for Nico Secunda because in addition to being an incredible shaman and being of light, he is a wonderful mentor. I learned so much in my two years of working for the Dance of the Deer Foundation — and so much of that knowledge has been essential in helping Carrie with SOAR.

3️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for having a trampoline in the backyard because it’s a wonderful place for kids and adults to get out their extra energy while having lots of laughs.

4️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for the symphony of birds, chicken scratching at the ground, children screaming in the distance, dogs barking in the distance, and the woodpecker’s going to town on the redwood trees in my backyard because even though the audio might’ve had problems on the sound healing workshop I was supposed to be in right now, I’m sitting outside in the sun getting my own personal sound bath.

5️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for having a backyard because for the majority of my life I have not and it really is nice to be able to just go outside and still be at home.

6️⃣ I am infinitely grateful to still have my original Nintendo because even though it’s in a box in the garage, I still dream of firing it up and teaching Bodhi and Luna how to play Super Mario Bros.

7️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for June Idzal, my high school computer teacher, because in addition to being the person who introduced me to web design, I always appreciated her support and encouragement – even when it felt like the rest of the faculty had turned against me.

8️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for having a James Bond website for 25 years (started as a project in June’s HS class) because updating, promoting, and keeping up the site was been a continuous inspiration for me to follow the latest trends web design and online marketing — both of which are now my full-time business.

9️⃣ I am infinitely grateful for all the relationships and friendships that have formed as a result of me working with someone on a web design project because it gives me little pockets of community around the world.

🔟 I am infinitely grateful for all the ways my business and personal understanding of my self have grown simply by creating new pages for goodmancreatives.com and adventuresofagoodman.com because updating those websites to reflect who I am “right now” gives me a way to continuously propel myself forward.
